Door ajar light stays on

Ok this just happened today. The door ajar light stays on as do the cargo lights. I slammed each door closed to make sure they were closed and the lights still stays on.

I've sprayed about 3/4 of a big can of wd-40 into each latch and open/closed each door 8-10 times each time I sprayed. It seems to be the two rear doors that are the issue. After spraying the crap outta them and opon/close about 40 times each I finally got the light to go off, but the very next time I open/close that door the light comes back on and stays on. SO then its another round of spray&pray. Once I got the lights to go off again I left it alone, but I know the next time a door is open I'll be back where I started. I really dont want to have to keep disconnecting the battery every time I park it.

Any other suggestions would help. I thought about pulling the fuse but from I have researched that will also disable the PW and maybe the PL.

Ok I think I may have found the issue. Possible driver error. Never having had PW/PL before I think I goofed up. When I press the unlock button on the key fob the lights in question come on. When I close the doors without locking them the lights stay on, but if I press the lock button on the key fob the lights go out. I hope this fixes it. Driver error I can live with, annoying electrical gremlin I can't

Instead of wd40. Pick up some RUST CHECK. Red cap. Works better I find on latches and hinges. And smells better. !! lol

I've been told rustcheck has teflon in it - that may help

my 01 seems to have a time delay for the interior lights

getting in , unlocking the door with the fob , the dome light stays on until the key is turned in the ign or some time passes

getting out the light stays on for a bit then goes off after some time passes but if I press the lock button on the fob they turn off right then
