Check the vacuum actuator on the front axle and make sure its not stuck also check for broken or cracked vacuum lines

a common problem on the 97-03 f150 was the front diff actuating fork, and the vacc lines corroding by battery box,the front fork can be tested by lifting front wheels off ground and move shift level on diff to se if locks up diff.

a moments silence for the shelbyx,i hope her new owner enjoys as much.

Thx all for replying. I had it to the dealer and they say it was just stuck and needed greesed! So I got lucky this time. I guess the old owner didn't use the 4x4 system much.
