and lift it off....

Thanks dude..... ya its the whole box... i really dont have to do this but i'm very picky about the care of my truck so i figured that when i repaint the truck this spring i might as well go all the way and remove the box and do the frame and all..... my floors and frame are mint even tho i plow with this truck... i want to keep it that way. Thanks for the info... i didnt think it would be more then 6 bolts on the 6.5 ft bed and since its the flareside and the majority of the box is fiberglass it would be to heavy

The box bolts are a T 50 or T 55 Torx head soak them in oil daily for a week or two prior to removal this should help you get them out with out heat

I just went thru my 97-00 Chilton manual and i can't even find how to remove the box in there much less the torque specs. I would torque em till they break...then back off 1/2 turn
