Unhappy Cloud of white smoke

When i start my truck after a day park, there's a cloud of white smoke coming out of the exhaust, after that nothing. Smell my exhaust, doesn't smell oil or coolant at all????? What can cause this?

white smoke usually indicates coolant in the combustion chamber,is the coolant level going down any?

use a pressure tester and check for a leak from intake gasket first.

You should recheck what you have..you can have a V6 or a 4.6 not both. The 4.6 is a v8. If its a 4.2 then you have a v6.

The 97s and early 98 4.2s had issues with coolant leaking into the front 2 cylinders which would cause the engine to hydrolock. If the engine build date is after 1/15/98 then it has the updated gaskets from Ford.

Whaddya mean I dont pay my bills?? Whydya think I'm broke!!
