Question Units settings

When you change your units setting from metric to english does the MPG read for Canadian imperial or US gallons ?? I kinda thought it would be Canadian because of the upper range is 30 in the LCD which is what my sticker said for Canadian EPA ratings. 30 MPG highway or 9.5 L/100km.

I am wondering the same thing. I recently purchased a 2011 with a 3.7 just for running around.

I tried converting actual (off display) L/100 km and it didn't convert very closely to either the Imperial or American gallons( whatever value was on the display). Mind you it wasn't a real long trip so that may have something to do with it too??

My truck was built in Kansas so that is why I wonder. The window sticker does show all the info in Candian info though.

I had a 1989 Grand Marquis and its tripmeter was in L100 km and American mpg. It was ultra close after converting to imperial.

9.5L/100km = 29.7mpg (Imperial gallon)

9.5L/100km = 24.7mpg (US gallon)

Just used one of those on-line calculators, so off the top I'd say you're dealing with Imperial gallons.

easy..
look at the L/100kms on your dash... convert it to both.. so you have both mpg #s
then switch it on the dash and compare.

FYI tho. Mines reads MPG with US gal.

Use your button on your dash display. Push through the options untill you get to 'setup' something or other. Push and hold and you enter that sub menu and using the button still push until you see units of measure ' Eng or <Metric>' Push and hold and it will change to Eng and your temp display, odometer and fuel mileage and ___to empty will now be in Farenheit, miles and gallons.

So you're saying the window sticker is quoting the wrong units? I'm curious as to how you came to that conclusion is all, not trying to be difficult, but I figured Imperial.
