Help me choose a new tire for my 2010 Lariat

Hello all, My first post here on this informative site for us ford owners. with the fuel prices rising almost weekly these days, I want to upgrade my 20" tires..Would like to go wider and taller, but I know it is going to beat me up on fuel economy, so as much as I would love to go to 305's or 35", and trying to think practically, I was thinking about something with a plush sidewall as I don't haul heavy loads very often, nor do I hit the offroads much either.. What are some of your thoughts?? Thank you all in advance..

Welcome to FordTough

I can attest that big tires do not translate into good gas milage. My Raptor gets a terrible 20L per 100km

Hey Hogdust think you should really get a progammer for your truck, I'm running the same size tire as the Raptor 315/70/17 and I am using a SCT tuner on a 87 octane tune and truck is pulling get numbers even with my size 11 shoe pushing hard on the gasem pedal ( lol ) last night it was reading 14l/100km running at 110 km on the 401 highway

On the Highway I get 13l per 100km, doing 110-120. It's the city driving that is bad

OOOH I don't worry about in town/city driving for mileage as I am alwats given on her to wake up people that like to walk across intersection on the red hand, trust me with my loud exhaust they tend to up and run I just smile and give them the #1 finger lol

I'm curious if you accounted for your odometer error on that 60Kish Km. A 40% tire has got to be about ~25% out on your speed and odometer.
