Ecoboost Intercooler Grill

Was wondering if any ecoboost owners have installed a lower grill in front of the intercooler. Do not like the big open hole there and also would like to protect the intercooler.

there is a lot of delima on that.. as anything that obstructs that hole can potientally void the warranty on the turbo/engine. Apparently ford is getting pretty strict on airflow for the intercooler, and the exhaust..

Check your owner's manual before doing any mods.. ?

Isn't that where the block heater cord is or is that just for non-ecoboosts?

Well, here's what my Stealership told me about this:

If the aftermarket part comes loose and breaks anything covered by the warranty, then the item would not be covered by the said warranty.

I ran some test and came to the conclusion that it was worth installing a deflector there. I modified something from where I work and installed it, and the intercooler temperature didn't change.
