Fuel Economy

I've been checking my fuel economy for my 2011 f150 5.0. Last tank got 21.5 mpg. the 2 before that were 20.5. Seems pretty fair to me. Anyone else been keeping track??

Is that mostly highway driving? Regardless that's great for a truck.

Bandit are you hand calculating or using the readout? The readout is American and mine is off by about 1-2L/100km.

no that is hand calculating and in canadian mpg. It is a mix of highway and city driving... my last truck (5.4) was always about 16.5... makes me happy to be doing this good...

mostly highway my 09 5.4 will average about 11L/100kms

if I baby it, I can get it down to about 10-10.5L/100kms which I think is right near the 22.5US MPG

My 2010 f150 4x4 with the 4.6 gets 11-12L/100kms and I'm running oversized tires 315/70/17 stockers where 265/70/17 but I added a SCT programmer and run it on the 87 octane tune.

5pointslow YES it does you just have to look up your tire measurement then use the right 1 on the programmer.

It's what the truck tells me .
