2009 engine removal

New to the forum, I'm changing the 5.4l in a 2009 f150 and can shed some light on the procedure if anyone needs help. There is a ton of info on the web up to 2008 and then there there are a lot of misconceptions for the 10 generation. Mainly, you DON'T have to lift the cab or cut any rad supports. Around 23 hrs of labor though so it's not for the meek. Motor is out and new (used) is on it's way to me. I'll post more as it develops.

Seized motor. Heavy towing, poor maintenance, the owner ignored an engine noise (I didn't hear it so I can't describe it) for a couple months. There was a lot of debris on the pickup screen but that could have happened as the connecting rod bearings started to disintegrate. My guess is the oil pump failed or the pickup screen clogged (chicken or the egg?). It all started with a general lack of respect for the vehicle. Some people like to turn the key and go or write checks when that doesn't work. Oil change intervals are important and have to be respected.

Garage
I would have figured warranty in there somewhere, unless it had over 60k on it in less than two years.

The dude had racked up over 220k kms of hard towing and driving. Wasn't the poor little motors fault. I got him a used motor with 10 840 kms for $2550. putting it in today.
