Who Uses Selectshift?

I'm just wondering who out there uses the Selectshift on their F150? Do you find you get better gas mileage if you use it? How useful do you find the Progressive Range Select vs the full manual?

i fiddle with mine from time to time, it's more meant for towing so you can lock out gears and keep it in say 4th for up hill or something rather.

I used mine a couple of times but not long enough to see if there was a mileage difference. I was a bit concerned about it lugging at slower speeds but it will downshift as needed on its own so I am going to give it a go again when the weather warms up.

I've used it a few times in the mountains.Shifted down a few gears while coming down hill for engine braking when it was snowing.

I use it... you can force earlier shifts (especially 6th, you can get it below 60 in manual) than drive and it'll hold with converter locked I can drive just over the speed limit at about 900rpm and cruise around , the torque of 6.2 helps alot though. this does help with mpg's but it's work keeping on top of it as it will still downshift only to 3rd (unless completely stopped) but it wont upshift.

I thought it was a cool feature at first, but to be honest, I have only used it a few times. I haven't had a need for it at all personally.

can you guys get it tuned to be more like a real set of paddle shifters? I know my LS has select shift (2001) and i can bounce it off the rev or start in 5th.... I make any and all decisions if in SST mode.
