Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor Tire Recall

Title should be "Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor Tire Recall"

http://www.canadianbusiness.com/arti...tread-concerns

Probably affects other trucks as well.

Fixed the title for you......details are pretty sparse in the article as to whether it was a specific production run of tires or what.

Wondering out loud if the recall will only affect customers in the US, or whether Canada is covered as well.

If I was running those, I wouldn't be waiting around for Goodyear to contact me. I think I'd be heading to a retailer to get more specific info.

Found this link with some more info on the recall. Looks like it only relates to LT rated (light truck) tires not P (passenger) tires. I know there was an option to get 17" LT tires on the F-150's but I don't think there are many around (I've never seen one).

Not sure how GY would contact all the owners of these tires? They should be posting for all GY Wrangler Silent Armor tire owners to check their DOT and if they have a tire(s) in the affected range to go to the nearest GY dealer for it to be resolved (replacement...could be an issue if the tread depths of the other tires are significantly different from new...may have to replace in pairs).
