How Much Off MSRP on 2011

I was wondering what you guys think is a reasonable amount to get off of MSRP on a leftover 2011 now?

I'm looking at a truck with an MSRP of ~$45,000. I would like to pay around $29,000 after incentives, before TT&L. Does anybody think this is possible?

Thanks for the input.

Chances are that is less than invoice. I think you will be lucky to get it around 34-35.

I was pricing out a 2012 FX4 to order last month and I could get $13,000 off of MSRP, so bring it down to $36,000 from $49,000 MSRP.

I was thinking I could do the same thing with a 2012 XTR, so with a 2011 XTR, at this point, I was thinking $14,000 - $15,000 off of MSRP.

I'm just trying to get an idea what the forum thinks before I talk to the dealer.

If you can pull it off...why not ? The incentives are out there, regardless of model, and they should be looking to deal and move the '11's.

Lowball them and see if they take it. If not, try somewhere else.

Bottem line will be with the dealer, make your own decision, it doesn't matter what we think, it's your money.

Find out the invoice pricing from CCC or APA Canada. Good deal at invoice plus 2-3%. Or wait for Friends and Family (Employee) Pricing.

I get x plan which is dealer cost plus 2%. that is roughly 3-4k off msrp.
Then add on or take off whatever public incentives are out there as well.

When picked up my 2011 4x4 xtr. Msrp of it was 45. I got it for 33. Which was etching, lug locks, and front tint.

There was 9500 public incentive added onto the xplan price. if i had costco it would have been another 1000. Also cash or clunker incentives. Not sure what is currently running but good luck. Not sure what 2011's are left.

just bought another car yesterday, last thing the dealer wants is to see you walk out the door...told her what i wanted to spend , they came back with an offer, I said ok thanks anyway,as i was walking out the door, got the "well, let me talk to my manager" line, ended up paying 25$ more than i wanted for the licence transfer fee. but still saved 2 g"s off the list price even after taxes. so try that and good luck, like someone else said, make them an reasonable offer, if they wont take it someone will.

nothing special, just an 05 mazda 3 sport GT hatch, for the wife, bought it in kitchener, got a few aftermarket parts( witch saves me from doing it, lol) with taxes and fees etcc...the dealer wanted 9960$, went in there with 8 thousand cash and paid 8025$, cerified and all that fine stuff. I love dealers, they must think people are complete morons, with the hummin and hawing, ' well, our profit margin is just not there to sell the car at that price'..lol I've traded in a few cars and they have no problems trying to rake you over the coals on a trade, so it was nice to return the favor. Oh yeah, bought it at CARIMEX in kitchener. Was actually in kitchener to look at a nice mazda 6 I seen on autotrader, But the guy wasn't home!! so we went for a drive and found this, and the wife loved it so we pick it up on tuesday.
