Anyone 2011/12 6" lift 17" wheel ?

Has anyone put a 6" lift on their truck and running 17" wheels with 35" tires?
I know the 04-08s can!
The rough country web site said 18", I called them and was told 17s will work!, The shop that installs lifts said it has to be a 18" wheel, so who do I go with!
So I'm asking have you put a 6" lift on your truck and running 17" wheels.

For the sake of argument, 315/70/17's are OEM on the Raptor. Supposedly, that's equivalent to a 35" tire.

I'm not sure why the shop that installs the lifts said it had to be an 18" wheel ?

If the 17's and 35's will work on a Raptor, I would presume they'll sure as shit work on an F150 with a 6" lift , or someone's doing something wrong.

I'm running a 2 1/2 " rough country lift on my 2010 F150 and have the 315/70/17 so you don't need to run a 18 " tire.

I'm not worried about the wheel/tire combo fitting in the wheel well, I think it has to do with the lift knuckle and brake caliper rubbing on a 17" wheel.

OK....my understanding has always been that the Raptor's brakes are larger than the stock F150.

Don't have a number for the F-150, but the Raptor sports 13.8 inch up front and 13.7 in the rear, with 17's.

Does THAT help any ??? lol

A 315/70/17 is technically a metric 35" = 34.5" usually

because either the guy who told him this is either a douche bag that wants to sell him more than he needs or hasn't a clue of what he's doing

I have been told by a close mechanic friend that some 17 will not fit with some lifts I don't know which lifts or which rims but some combination won't fit

the only things holding you back are fear and common sense

If you run a rim with the wrong off set then you might run into rub, with my lift and 10 " wide rim and 315/70/17 I get a small rub on full turn

I believe the problem is interference between the spindle and rim
