Bug Deflectors?

Who has them? Preferences? Comments? Issues? Complaints?

I'm getting a lot of stone chips already on the front paint and I attribute it to the highway driving. I would like to get a bug deflector, but I wanted some feedback on which is best. On my Chevy I had the GM OEM one and the only thing I didn't like is it never deflected anything from the windshield. It was a low profile design, and didn't have any lip on the edge, so I think things just glided over top of it.

I have run them for years on my trucks and more to protect the paint on front of hood. Never had one that deflected rocks and gravel over windshield. They just semed to hit higher on the windshield. Just my $.02.

Such is life. Just passing through.

Agreed, for me it's more to protect the paint. What brand did you have?

Took mine off. Just didn't look right against the silver paint.

Granted it protects the paint & screen.

I had one on my 95 b3000 and liked the protection it offered but not really the look so I haven't put one on my b4000... that said I'm not enjoying the stone chips

I had the factory one on my truck and I thought it protected the paint, until the first time I took it of and found that due to vibration it had rubbed the paint of the front end of my hood. I wouldn't run one again

the only things holding you back are fear and common sense
