Bed Scratched Up

Pick up my new 2012 S' Crew. All was good until we looked at the bed under the tonneau cover. There were muddy footprints and scratches all over the floor. The salesman was surprised as well.

I'm going in today to speak with the Manager. He initially offered me a free oil change, ans will paint the bed.

I may be getting a spray-in liner, so am looking for some credit at the service/parts depts.

Sloppy work. I'll let you know what happens at the meeting.

First your previous vehicle gets hit, and now this.

As I said previously, if you're getting a spray in liner, the scratches become a moot point from a damage point of view.

That being said, those responsible for the damage should be accountable, assuming the damage was caused when the tonneau was installed (most likely).

From the sounds of things, I'm guessing it was a dealer installed.

Post up some pics if you think of it, and keep the updates coming, hopefully you can get to an acceptable resolution.

I have photos, but cannot upload them. When I "reply", there is supposed to be a "Manage attachments" button. It is not there.

Any ideas?
tks

Two choices for pics.... A) create an album on ford tough.ca and load into it, or B) create a Photobucket account, load them up there and then copy and paste the IMG code.

Myself, I find the Photobucket route slightly less cumbersome.

There's also added flexibility if you want to post the same pics on other forums...you don't have to load them up again, just do another copy and paste of the IMG code.

Hope that helps.

just an idea, when or if you get you box sprayed, mine was done by line-x in london, and when they did it they also did the inner fender whells, wich not only looks great but gives a bit of added protection. I have to say line-x did a great job, removed all the bed bolts.etc.. before they sprayed looks very professional. (this was done by the previouse owner of he truck right before i bought it, so no idea of cost, just giving you an idea of the quality of work done by this perticular shop)

The only place in my area (800km) is a Speedliner dealer. I guess I'll go with them. $825.00 +HST. Not cheap, but it will work for me.

I just looked under my "Posting Rules". It says I am not allowed to post attachments. This may be the cause of my troubles. How do I get this fixed?

Tks.

Keep posting until you're past "Apprentice" (not sure how long that is exactly) or go the Photobucket route - no waiting.

If your in thunder bay I'd drive the 700ish KM to Winnipeg for Line-X instead of Speedliner.

Ok. Tried Photobucket. Still no go. I guess I'll have to wait until I pass "Apprentice" level.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to achieve the next level?

Tks

I agree the person responsible should be held accountable.

as for the price. Line-x in London quoted me 650 + tax
