Starting the truck

I just discovered something. I turn the key all the way forward to start the truck, holding it in that position until the engine starts, then let go of the key. The usual procedure.

I found that all I need to do is turn the key as far as it will go, then let it go immediately. The key returns to it's usual position and the starter continues to crank until the engine starts.

Anyone else see this?

Kind of cool.
