oval ford logo on grill

my girlfriend had the truck serviced at the dealer, when she picked it up there was no ford logo on the front.
the service rep said it just fell off when they closed the hood, they gave her
the logo back, pins broke off, they told her plastic gets brittle and it happens a lot.
she is not taking it well, her point, i brought it in with the logo on it, so i should get it back the same way. she got quoted $89 plus tax for a new oval, after arguing they came down to $88.00 incl tax installed.
she contacted the owner of the dealership and hopes to hear back soon.

since ford says it happens a lot...anyone had this happen..?
09 fx4 s crew with black grill.

the fact that it so expensive, and they fact that she was told it happens a lot. is here issue.

she kinda understands it will be her expense in the end, but will push it as far as she can.

I have had ford trucks since 1989 to the current 2009 and it has never happen to me nor have I ever heard of it happening to anyone I know with a ford truck . You would think the dealer would do the right thing and replace it . Post up the dealer name so it can be added to the ever growing list of FORD SERVICE DEPARTMENTS THAT DON'T GIVE A FLYING FUCK ABOUT THERE CUSTOMERS OR THERE TRUCKS .... 89.00 of GOOD WILL WOULD HAVE GONE A LONG WAY ....

Nevermind...go back to the dealer and make them replace it! I've never heard of ANY badges just randomly falling off like that.

dealer management called, they fully agreed it should not have happened, and it will be replaced free of charge.

apoligy, yes.
dealership enjoys a good reputation in the kingston area
bought the truck a year ago, excellent service from sales, many repeat customers.
