leaking truck

Ok, so yesterday I notice a stain on the headliner above the driver side passenger window, Hmmmm, must have happened when I left the rear window down an bit , cant remember when, but no big deal, I will clean it. Well, last night it rains, and I look at it again, and the headliner from the middle of the back window, to the side I noticed stained, is soaking wet, really wet, anybody else had this issue?

Sounds like your 3rd brake light has a leak maybe

If memory serves, that sounds like the same sort of problem I had with my '98 XL, and as Grant has mentioned, it was the seal around the third brake light.

Haven't heard of anyone having problems with the newer F150's, but when I took out my third brake light lens to shoot it with VHT, I was surprised at the way Ford chose to seal them up.

Never had a problem with leakage, but when I re-installed the lens, I did draw a small bead of clear silicone around the lens to seal things up a little more to my liking.

Pop out your third brake light lens (super easy), and see if you've got any water hold up.

Couldn't hurt.

I had the same issue with my 2009 it was fixed under warranty and they replaced the whole headliner when they replaced the seal on the light. It was a if it happens they replace it type recall not one that went out for every single truck.

The rear third brake light seal is a known issue.
Also watch out for water in the front passenger side foot well area. the sirius radio seal likes to leak as well and it runs down the pillar to the floor.

my local dealer replaced the third brake light and cleaned the stained headliner, lets see if that works. Covered under warranty, but was quoted $350 if it wasn't
