Love it, pretty much sums it up. Only thing I would add is forget the 5.0, order up that 6.2L.

Then again, I'm biased. Nice post Martin.

I would just prefer the V8 anyways! Love the throaty sound of 8 cylinders out the tailpipe of my exhaust. That's just me though LOL!

I'm with Jay.....LMAO in the video where he says Ecoboost owners might be disappointed with the sound results when they do exhaust mods.

No substitute for the feel and sound of a classic V8.

x2. I'd take a 5.0 over an Ecoboost any day.

You're all gay! haha

TBH, it's kind of a stupid video...no matter what engine you have, if you work it hard, it will use fuel regardless. I bought my Ecoboost for the power, not for the fuel economy, so I am not disappointed with my purchase. If I wanted fuel mileage, I wouldn't have bought a full-size truck.

As for the exhaust note, I will never disagree.....there is no replacement for the sound of a V8.

Most guys on this site seem to understand that. Other forums I frequent are littered with guys whining that their truck gets poor fuel economy. Yeah the EPA says it will get 30+mpg...at 50mph @ 72*F on level grade with no wind.

I'd debate that, seems I'm always mocking the Ecoboost guys that bitch about their mileage, and how close my numbers are to theirs. (more or less)

RedThunder's post has been one of the first honest statement's I've seen so far....bravo.

The Lightning = Best of both worlds!

No replacement for displacement

But

Boost gets you laid!

I'll have to watch the video at home, my speakers suck at work. As of right now if I was to get a new F150 it would be an EB.
