sparkplugs

reading up on sparkplug problems with 2004 to 2008 f150 anyone out there experienced these problems with the 09 and also would appriciate any input on when would be a good time to do the plugs i currently have 69000 km on truck. thanx very much.

The plug problem was fixed in late 07/early 08..The newer trucks are good..I have 123000 on my 08 now.got the plugs, MC SP 509..now to put them in..I believe the recommended change now is around 100,000 Km.

I did my 2009 around 80000 a couple months ago. Due to the fact I didn't want them to cause any problems if I waited to do them later. No issues though and probably wouldn't of had any if I waited either.

Did mine at 100,000 no issue. have not heard of any, should be safe

X's 2. I believe the issue is only for engine build dates before 10/09/07, to confirm the built date for those year models, just need to check the driverside cam cover, or look to see what color the coils are, in which the brown coloured ones are on the updated 5.4L's.
I did a lot of research before getting my FX2 cause i did not want to run into this issue at all LOL!
