strange interior smell?

Have this strange "Old; musty" smell coming from inside the dash. Plan on digging in to this tomorrow, but wondering if anyone else has some insight into this. Kinda hinting at no cabin air filter, but not sure. Hoping it's not a dead mouse or somethin'.

I pulled the skeleton of some sort out of the duct in an old truck once. And I remember it was a pita. There are also rubber drains on the sides of the firewall, down behind the fender that get plugged up with leaves/grass. Gotta squeeze the two rubber flaps kinda to open it up a let the shit fall out.

It's been pretty warm lately, so might be able to count that out. Can't be sure yet.

A/C.

It is a musty/moldy smell.
What it usually is, is when you've been running the A/C and shut the truck off with it being cold. the condensation sets in from the humidity and sits there afterwards.
it settles and smells.

try turning off the a/c and warming up the air to outside air temp before shutting off the truck. then check the smell the next day.

if its got a sweet smell it could be antifreeze from a heater core... but normally if they leak there's a puddle on pass floor
