PO234 Code - overboost condition

My 2012 Screw - ecoboost (65000km) sent me a PO234 Code - Overboost condition on friday.
THe weather here was -30c (-40c in the wind), truck had been running fine but when I stepped on the gas to pass, the OBD came on, I didnt notice lack of power at the time. (remote starter wouldnt work)
I had filled up with gas earlier in the day - so i checked the nozzle hole for blockage, poured in some anitifreeze. Sunday we warmed up so parked the girl in the sun, hoping to thaw it out, and just let her idle.
Finally put it on the reader last night (on sale at CT). and it reads the P0234. I was able to erase the code - this morning everything is back to normal.
Research suggest maybe the turbos wastegate was stuck (easily frozen).
Thankfully its working in time for our next deep freeze here in the prairie, but if it trips again, I'll have to take it into dealer.

Interesting. At least it went away. The cold does weird things to vehicles sometimes, hopefully that's all it was. The fact your remote start wouldn't start the truck shows how cold it really was.

That's exactly what happened to my buddies ecoboost around edmonton. he reset it too, though when he stepped on the gas the truck shuttered and the turbo made a god awful noise, took it to the dealer and they replaced the 'baffle' I believe it was called? And it fixes the problem. Hopefully that helps
