Talking Light Bar

Hi all it has been a while since I have been on here, so I thought I would stop and say hi and get your info.

Looking to get a light bar for the truck in the next few weeks. I have decided on this style.

http://www.n-fab.com/products/sfID1/.../productID/250

You can pick different colours for it. What do you think would look best on my ride?
I have a white FX4 so it is going to be gloss black or white

2012 FX4 5.0 SuperCrew, Magna Flow, dual exhaust, G2 folding hardtop, 60" rear brake/turn light, SCT/ITSX, 295/60R20 Nitto Trail Grapplers, 5star pro tune, N-Fab Pre-Runner Light Bar, 3 9" Hella Rallye 4000 lights, 6" Pro Comp Suspension Lift, K/N Cold Air Kit...

Pretty cool design, definitely not subtle. I'm thinking white might be better over black for a white FX4, unless you want to break up the white a bit.

At $325 US, price for the basic unit isn't terrible, don't know what they'd charge to ship it, and figure on spending somewhere around the same for lights, depending on size and style.

Throw in installation & wiring, depending on whether or not you do it yourself, and you should be good for at least $1000, which is pretty typical for that sort of mod.

Definitely post some pics when you're done, you don't see too many pre-runner style light bars around Ontario .

Thanks I shall do that. I think I will get Nat. 4X4 to do the install. I think that they can bring it in from the states a lot cheaper than it would cost me. I just hope it doesn't stick out to much at the top bar away from the truck But in this pic that is just too much white.

White on white looks good...a clean look.

I like the white. With the amount of white on your FX4 I think black would
kind of reach out and poke you in the eye. Not a clean look.

Such is life. Just passing through.

I like the black one. Would look a little more aggressive and really break up the all white look. But different tastes for different folks. The lights themselves will likely be black housing so the black bar will look better.

Ultimately, only you can decide what you like best.

I think I will go with the black one, cause that is just too much white. Also my grill is dark grey and I have 2 black sections on my front bumper. As CMD76 says the lights will more than likely have black trim on them.

Hi all.

Well it has been a tough go for me getting this light bar installed. I started work with Jamie Marr at 4 Wheel Parts in the middle of Feb. Well for some reason the guys that are working in the back are DUMB ASSES. Because they could not figure out how to install it. They said it was the wrong bar, So Jamie ordered another one. He triple checked the part # I even talked to the owner of the bar in California to help out. But when the 2nd bar showed up it was the same one. So the guys in the back said it would not fit. Me getting totally pissed at this time wanting this bar on the truck. I started looking elsewhere to get it installed. I should have asked here where a 4x4 shop was that was close to Hamilton, but I didn't. Never the less I found a place in Kitchener called KW Overdrive Automotive. Well I went up there last week to see if they could do it. They said no problem. So they ordered one. And what do you know it fit. So now I have a light bar on the truck and a new 4x4 shop I can call home. Now my question to you guys is, are the lights I'm going to install are they overkill. The lights are Hella Rallye 4000 in black. 9" round

I had four eight inch KC Daylighters on the Raptor, two fog lights in the inner two positions and two spotlights on the outside position.

They kicked out a lot of light, great taking the back roads, but not very practical in many other applications around town.

When I do another Raptor, I won't be re-installing it, but then again, I don't go off-road much (at all lol) .

Personal taste on whether or not they're overkill, looks like you have the flexibility to go with a two light or three light setup, which is nice.

Could maybe go with a smaller diameter light as well, if you want something a little more subtle.

Nice looking piece though, black looks good.
