Front left caliper seized - 2010 F150

Yesterday I heard the ominous grinding of brakes. When I checked it turns out the front left pads are almost gone and the rotor is scored pretty badly. It turns out the caliper seized. I was wondering if I can get away with only replacing the scored rotor since the front right looks fine. I plan on replacing all 4 pads.

Depends on your level of comfort....yah, you could only repair the one side, but then you've got two different sized rotors, how long before the second one goes bad?

Yah you could do one side, but just because you could, doesn't mean you should. lol

Personally, IMO the better path is to bite the bullet and do both sides and get a fresh set of pads and rotors on each side.

Tires and brakes are two places I'm nervous about cutting corners to save a few bucks, seeing as they're responsible for getting me home safe.

Then again, it doesn't really matter what anyone thinks, its your ride and your cash when you get right down to it.

I had my brakes and rotors replaced last spring , I ordered the parts off of ebay from urban auto parts in Toronto cost me about 280 bucks for the whole kit and they are the good ones zinc slotted and the pads are good to, good quality , I found a semi retired mechanic on kijiji and he installed them for 100 bucks , can,t beat that kind of deal man.

I actually only replaced a caliper and the one rotor that had been scored. I put new pads on both sides though. It has been fine since last July,
