Cool delivery is complete!

So i took delivery of my brand new 2010 F150 FX4 on wednesday. picked it up from the dealer with only 7 km on the odometer and i have since added another 123 or so.

First impressions:

I'm used to sitting higher up and over looking the road because my previous vehicle was a GMC safari, but the truck feels higher and wider than the safari. I'm still getting used to it, a little worried sometimes about sharing the road with busses, trucks and even other cars, the lanes seem much smaller all of a sudden.

the tranny is great. it automatically holds the revs of the engine back but still maintains the speed. it is great to get the truck up to 60 and be able to take my foot off the gas and see the revs drop to just over 1000 and still the truck coasts along.

my only complaint would be the seat belt. with the amount of space in the cab the belt could be a bit longer to give some of us bigger guys a little bit more slack to play with, now don't get me wrong, in most cars i have to have the seat all the way back just to sit in a good driving position and that is not the case with the truck but it seems like the belt doesn't account for the amount of spaceor maybe i'm just not used to it yet.

only other issues was the rubber trim around the rear passenger side window. it had a bubble in it; that caused it to come away from the surface and have a loose appearence, but the dealer has already ordered me a new one.

overall i am so happy that i bought this truck, a feeling i'm sure most of us share. thanks for reading. I'll post some pics soon.

Congrats. Give it a week or so and you will get used to the Truck's size and feel on the Road.

Congrats, but, I have to ask, are you "huge" or something. I mean, I'm 6'2", 225lbs, and I find the seatbelt more than accomodating.

I think it has more to do with the fact that i'm used to being in a driving position that is in line with or just behind the seatbelt (closer to the rear of the vehicle) so it is always in front of me but with the truck i am closer to the front and the belt is further behind me; so I think it is more about me adjusting to the new suroundings than anything else.
