I think it's a schoolbus?

If Princess Auto were a real girl, I'd ask her to marry me.

It's a Centurion, a company down in the states makes them out of a F-350 CC and a Bronco. Cool rig.

This is what probably led up to ford building the expedition and excursion, probably was derived from this early stage?

Basically, its Ford/Centurion's very late answer to the Suburban. Centurion would buy the truck/chassis from Ford and build them in an outside facility but IIRC they were all US made and sold, so any ones up here were imported. All were 1 ton trucks with front Dana 60 axles (assuming 4wd) and usually pretty much full load trucks too. I guess Ford basically woke up and finally smelled the coffee and started making their own, and hence the birth of the Excursion and Expeditions.

How Chevy got away with having the Suburban from what, '59?, to an outside company building their own starting in the 80s, to Ford FINALLY building their own in the late 90s, its all beyond me. Perhaps they didn't think there was a market for it, but obviously GM did well selling them. I don't even recall Dodge building anything like it either.. I guess in the good ol' days having a station wagon was pretty much the same thing. LR
