So do you just go around collecting old trucks ? And what do you do with them after you have them home ?

The plan is to restore them all. Right now I have started on a 75. I have a 66 merc 2 wd sitting at home.

The whole thing started when I bought my 75 from the fellow at the wreckers. He had a red 66 merc that I thought I would like as well. I said I could'nt afford both so why not let me work to pay for the 66. He thought about it and said ok there is probably some stuff you can do around here. That was 3 yrs ago.

During that time I have gotten a cab, box and other assorted goodies for my 75. The bronco and the 66 merc 4x4 have been purchased the same way. No money out of my pocket and he gets some help around the yard.

I work weekends and he is only there on Tuesday and Wednesday. He has pretty much shut down as a wrecker. It is more of a hobby. Right now we are trying to clear some stuff out of the yard. It seems like we get rid of one and he brings in two.

He is a ford guy, his passion seems to be the 73 to 79's for the most part.

I love that Merc, I really hope you can bring it back to life. I'm not brand loyal, but I do have a preferrence to Ford for trucks. I have a Camaro, a Dakota and my F350.

Funny when I think 66, I think Chevy you know like Steve Earl says "sweet little '66", but I got to tell you, that truck has fantastic lines on it. BTW, the blue one patially in the pic looks like the '72 302 3 on the tree I had in that blue years ago.

Really nice find!

He just brought in a 78 or 79 crewcab.

Not really brand loyal here either. My favorite is my 75. I just love the grill. Second would be the 66. I had a buddy in high school with a 66 and have always wanted one. Now I have two.

The blue one is actually a 67, other than the dash pad the dash is pristine. All the knobs are there and not one hole drilled in it.
