Free Mod Today

Got around doing a free mod today. Something i have been wanting to do since i had the FX2, something that should have been done right from the factory on all FX2's in my opinion. For some it probably wouldn't bother, but me, it looked out of place.
I made the Sport logo in the gauge cluster light up.
It's a very simple mod. All i did is take the cluster out, and underneath the gauge cluster, there is a little box like clip that slides out, and this is what holds the regular P R N D 1 2 3 applique, for shift column F 150's, or the Lariat, Sport, and FX4 ects.... appliques for the centre console shift mounted F 150's, so i took it out, and carefully pulled the applique off, then lightly sanded the backing off as it is covered in black, reason it doesn't light up. Under the black is white, then the red for the Sport logo itself. All i did is take off the black.
Now the cluster looks as it should have from the factory, and doesn't look empty in a spot where i am use to being lit up LOL!. I'm just anal.
What it looked like, yes i know the lights aren't on, but i forgot to take a pic with the lights on with the Sport logo left in the dark.... sorry, this will have to do so you can get the idea LOL!

Sport logo shinning bright...

Garage
Cool mod, fits in nicely.

If it's any consolation, the new FX4's have "FX4" on the tach face, mine says "SVT", so Ford caught on with your mod !!

Thanks guys. It really shows well in the dark, and blends well with the rest of the dash lighting without be distracting. Don't know why Ford didn't do this from the factory!?
