Trip to Moab

Wow those pics are sweet. Did you go by yourself and how long to travel to Moab? The plane crash pics were cool so were the abandond cave houses. Who did the petroglyphs?

Thanks, guys. I can't take all the credit. I just kept pushing the button on the camera. Actually being there is 1000 times better. If you get the chance, just go there. I guarantee, it's the trip of a lifetime.

I ended up going by myself. I couldn't con anyone else into coming along who had the time or appropriate vehicle. If you do go, I'd recommend going with some buddies for safety. I know I sure could have used a spotter a few times!

Driving time to Moab is just a bit less than 3 days for me. I wasn't in a huge hurry and I like to dawdle. It takes me 6-7 hours just to get as far south as Edmonton.

Re: petroglyphs
It's hard to say exactly who made them and when. Some can be a few hundred years old, and others are well over a thousand years old. They're pretty mysterious! I found a good little write-up here:
