Random observations over morning coffee....

13 different paint colours for the Lariat trim level, Tuxedo Black has given way to the non-metallic Shadow Black, three engine options, 2.7L EB, 3.5L EB or 5.0L V8.

After having Tuxedo Black, compared to the Shadow Black I had on my Mustang, actually prefer the Shadow Black, new Mustangs are going the same path.

Plenty of package options and stand alone options, from appearance to rear end gears.

Only 4 colours available on the Limited, no choice on engine, its the 3.5L EB or nothing.

Kitchen sink model, for the price, not much available option wise, oddly enough, no 3.73 gears listed, best you can do is 3.55.

The prices are getting out of hand. I really like that special edition package with the red accents and stripe, I liked it when it was the FX series appearance package too.

Even looking at 2015's a 5.0 is hard to come by. I don't want/need that Ecoboost stuff.

No fan of the EB here either, major reason why I'm not interested in anything with "Raptor" and "EB" in the same sentence. lol

Price shock is always there, throw in taxes on a Limited and you're at $85k no problem.

Employee Pricing always knocks a good $10k off, but still...

GT350 runs around the same as the Hellcat, depending on what package you get, but good luck trying to get one, the demand is stupid crazy.

Hellcat might be 700hp for $80k (with taxes), but it will never haul a load of 2x4's or stone. lol

Unless you get an optional trailer hitch, that would be pretty cool.

$73,280 taxes in gets you a VERY capable track monster! So I would put that right in line with the Fatcat, wouldn't you?

We're here talking about trucks and you bring up cars...... knife to a gun fight. Who the fuck wants a car? You must complain about fuel mileage too lol.

Anyway I don't think they have put anything up about the Raptor because it will be a late 2016-2017 build. I would just like to see the numbers of the thing. I would much rather have a 2010-2014 looks and engine option wise but if the EB in the Raptor is anything close to the EB in the GT I could be swayed.

Yah, I'm not disputing the power of the Ecoboost, I test drove one and it'll get up and dance, but it all comes down to feel and opinion, just can't feel any love for it.

Maybe I'm the dinosaur, and the day may come when I have no choice and may love it, I seem to be great at famous last words. lol

Base GT350 needs the Tech Pack, I love the Recaro's, but I need leather, and the suspension goodies that are bundled in the Tech are a nice touch, still a steal at that price.

MSRP all day, any day, and you're still getting more than your moneys worth, its all about perception.

heh heh heh Fatcat and Slomaro, sounds like a new cop movie.

The next Raptor is 2017 model which is supposed to go on sale in the fall of 16. I too can't see myself getting a Raptor with the Eccoboost. It is not just about the Horsepower and Tourque but about the sound that comes out of the exhaust pipes and overall. There needs to be an option for the 5.0L added at least.

Do not look at the MSRP on the F150 for real world pricing. The F150's are always heavily discounted all year long. They sell like hotcakes
