Bigger tires on the highway will get you better mileage providing your speed is reasonably good. ie..80km/h and up. In the city, you have to constantly get that larger, heavier rubber mass rolling which will, of course, use more fuel. Mods of other sorts have to be coordinated otherwise they are never fully realized. Most performance improvements will give you better mileage which is negated by "The Lead/Stomp Foot Factor."
