+23HP for F150 Ecoboost with K&N air intake

K&N recently released a new air intake for 2015-2016 FORD F150 Ecoboost with 2.7L and 3.5L motors. Ecoboost engine is very capable so the engineers achieved really impressive performance results of +19HP and +34 Torque on 2.7 models and +23 HP and +34 Torque on 3.5L models.

DYNO data:

FORD F150 Ecoboost 2.7L

FORD F150 Ecoboost 3.5L

* Click on the pictures below to read more about the intake and check price:

K&N® - 63 Series Aircharger Intake Kit

Such a big improvement most likely wouldn't be possible on a bigger natural aspirated engine with just the intake.

Inquire for quotes in comments below or in PM! I will be glad to assist!

Garage
CAI's always end up with the discussion on whether or not a new tune is required due to the changes in the air/fuel mix. I'm assuming not, but seems like an awful big gain without one.

801A - 6550 lb bundle of joy

but that huge gain is at over 4500 rpm

Idono about youse guys but my 01 5.4 f150 rarely ever sees even 3000 rpm

why a retune .. our trucks "learn" their parameters - my cold air kit said to disconnect the battery so by the time you're done the instalation of the cai the data has been wiped from the ecu's memory and after an hour or so of driving it will have the new air flow info it needs to set fuel enrichment properly

check the graphs at the rpm you most often drive

mine gave me 2 mpg out of the box driving at 45 - 50 mph for 2 hours the night I put it in
(different brand)

the horriable air sucking sound went away , throttle responce was a little better but at 2-25 hun it's not going to make a big difference other that that

4500 rpm on the 2.7. Just over 3000 on 3.5 eco, or that's what I read.

Such is life. Just passing through.

Me too.

Definitely a lot more potential in these engines than the old ones. Over 400ld/ft to wheels is darn good.

My 5.4 hardly ever sees 3000rpm let alone 4500.

That's right maximum improvent of 23 HP is at it's peak on 4500rpm, but as you see from the DYNO, it get's more power right from the 2500 and goes all the way up to 5000.
