F-150 update

Hey
thought I would share some info since I have had my new truck.
As I think I am on my third or fourth tank of gas now we took a drive up to Barrie and on the 400 I got my mileage down to 9.8L/100km but hit some strong winds coming home and went back to 10.9L
999km till empty and already have 235km on tank..
anyways been looking at some accessories and so far here is what I got.

New Extang 2.0 solid cover

New Weathertech bug/stone deflector

Hope all is well and safe driving
Glenn.

Hey
so went for alittle drive up to store and now about 258ish km on tank and my reading on till empty still says 999til empty....
going to keep an eye on it as we may be out and about next few days ( on vacation ) and gas gauge is half way to 3/4 from full. if I hit less then 3/4 on gauge then I'm dropping my excitement and calling dealer as may need to look at the computer cause no way 1500km per tank... only wish full thinking
anyone with similar truck experience this
Glenn.

at 9.8l/100km you should get around 1400kms, maybe it hasn't adjusted to the 10.9 reading yet, somewhere inbetween

Hey
Ok I feel alot better .
out yesterday and the 999km till empty finaly moved. as soon as I hit 300km it moved.
1/4 tank used.
atleast I don't have to go to dealer and wait around for them to reset things.
will be interesting if I'm gonna get around 1200km per tank or so...if not no biggie
Glenn.

I was pretty happy with my 2010 the other day, I got 800KM to the tank. mostly highway. Thinking a trip to London is in order.

Hey
Took my wife to Toronto walked along beach and had lunch...was nice day too not too hot..
little on the windy side at times and did notice the truck drove better with the cover as the tail gate was not creating a drag. sometimes I could feel the wind now not as much
little over 420km and just under 3/4 tank.
I have hit the 3000km mark so I'm guessing the engine is past the brake in period. or does the new engines not really need time to brake in.
these new trucks have a canister oil filter now?
