It's not a Lariat but the sticker price was over $60000.00
I little homework and lot of negotiation with several dealers goes a long way!
Good for you and welcome to the site by the way. Keep your sense of humor handy and enjoy.

My previous truck before my last car was a 2011 F150 xlt. It wasn’t as loaded as my current truck and even after employee there was a 15-20k difference.

People (employees) want to get paid more, inflation and new tech cost more.

When I was looking, I was trying to haggle my way into a Lariat, but they just couldn’t make the numbers work.
I studied the numbers for trade in and including my down payment, knew what the payment would be, so I went to a dealer that is a mass volume and tried to pin them against a non existent competing dealer to try and get what I wanted. They were 4K short after discounts, trade-in and downpayment and they wouldn’t budge. The truck was ~72k msrp before, ~59k after employee and they said they couldn’t make it work either. So I left. They called me the next day asking for me to come back in, even though they can’t make the numbers work. I went to a different dealer (one my family has been using for a couple years) got employee pricing on an XLT and they did some extras/customizing for me before I picked it up. So I’m happy.
Sometimes it’s about quality of salemenship and building a rapport then pushing vehicles out the door.

this is the difference between a SALESMAN and a CASHIER .. one can work a deal - the other just wants to collect "the" amount
Dad was a salesman ..
