Exclamation Correct Payload Capacity??

Im adding a 2019 F250 platinum diesel for RVing and keeping my 2015 F150 for my daily driver. On the F250 drivers door the sticker says Max Payload is 1963 pounds. The dealer provided a specs printout based on my VIN which shows 2670 pounds. Are both referring to the same thing or what is the difference? Im looking at a fifth wheel with a pin weight of 2000 pounds so I really need to understand which number is correct to determine if I safely pull my desired RV. Fifth wheel towing capacity of 14700 pounds is no problem, just the payload needs some clarity. Thanks.

Driver's door sticker is the absolute value. It's the one the Ministry looks at when the pull you over because they suspect you've overloaded your truck. It's the as built specification. The VIN number database that everyone looks at is not always correct. You will have to compensate by checking wheel bearings, tires, suspension, and brake capacity for increased weight capacity. You should have, at least, 10% more capacity than actual load. Even then, I would personally consider that too light. You should consider an F350.
