CARiD List of The Most Common Off-Road Tires

The tires you purchase for your Ford F150 are one of the most important upgrades you can make because they affect almost every aspect of the driving experience, especially if you plan to venture the rugged terrain and beaten paths. Off-road tires prioritize challenging off-road environments and deliver the performance traits and durability characteristics required to keep your 4x4 moving no matter what.

They should easily take on rocky trails, mud bogs, backroads, and everything in between. Off-road tires usually have unique tread patterns designed to increase traction and come in 33", 35", or 37" sizes.

We've prepared the list of the most common A/T and M/T off-road tires available on CARiD.

#1 BF Goodrich K02

- Split and bruise resistant sidewall rubber, derived from BFGoodrich's race proven Baja T/A®KR2 tire
- Increased rubber thickness, extending down the sidewall to protect more of the critical sidewall failure zone
- Protruding sidewall rubber blocks provide increased mud, snow, and rock traction, especially in aired-down driving situations
- Provide increased tread block stability, for more even wear over the long haul

#2 Cooper Discoverer AT3

- Saw-tooth grooves and serrated steps create biting edges for traction and dislodge stones and debris
- The tire is engineered to provide outstanding performance in both on and off-road driving applications
- Compounds are formulated with the highest content of chemically-coupled silica for maximum wet traction
- High tensile construction provides maximum strength and more protection with a higher load capacity

#3 Nitto Terra Grappler G2

- Coupling joints, which connect the outer most tread blocks to the center blocks, to increase the block edge rigidity
- Full Depth Sipes
- The staggered shoulder lugs provide additional biting edges in off-road conditions
- The computer analyzed tread block arrangement reduces tire noise normally heard at highway driving speeds

#4 Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac

- TractiveGroove Technology™ offers enhanced traction in deep mud and snow
- Highly angled center tread blocks enhance traction and lateral stability while reducing road noise
- Self-cleaning shoulder blocks clear the tread of debris for enhanced dirt, gravel, and mud traction
- Rim protector helps protect wheels from accidental curb damage

#5 Mickey Thompson Baja Claw

- Mud-Scoops for Self Cleaning Traction in Deep Mud and Snow
- Tread and sidewall Decoupling Grooves that Allow Tire to Flex and Conform to any Surface
- Directional 23 Degree Tread Pattern and Extra Wide Footprint for Extreme Traction
- Strategically placed and shaped siping to promote long wear and improve traction on wet or icy surfaces
