Question Undercoating

What is the opinion of the value of undercoating a new vehicle and how often it should be re-done? When I bought my last new 150 in 2010 the Ford service manager told me not to do it because undercoaters sometimes block the drain holes in the bottom of the doors so water that enters at the windows can't drain out. I had it done at Krown anyway. Just want some opinions before my new truck arrives.

I would recommend a yearly oil spray.
