Airbag light flashing

The air bag dash light was flashing this afternoon....the operators manual just says to get the air bag serviced...anyone know what this all means, apart from the obvious? I wonder if it just caused by our rapid drop in temp's today as we went from above zero (C.) to about -10 in 6 hours or so...

checked the U.S. F150 site...they have that link to the answer site...Ford mechanic said I need to get it checked as something has failed and the airbag is effectively disabled til the code is corrected...a disabled airbag is not a huge concern for me, so I will get it checked, I just will not drop everything to do that...lol

When it flashes it should flash a code. For example 2/7. Which is one I had with my 99 superduty. If it does flash a code someone should know what it means.

They do flash a code....There are quite a few.....
If it is the most common one....which is 3-2
It is a clockspring which now needs to be changed....before it throws the thermal fuse which will give you another code altogether....and then you will have to fix both. It is not a really hard job to swap, just a few tools & a six pack.

OK, the airbag light FINALLY flashed again, today...it was flashing 3/2...pretty sure I got that correct as it is easy to count the flashes...did it a couple of times slowly....

Bill:code 32 is for a rh air bag circiut open/or high resistance,do you have any other concerns like horn not working or cruise switches not working?if so you could have a bad clockspring.

Pfffffft... wussy airbags! You just need a BIG ASS winch bumper to obliterate anything in your path - problem solved! Then THEY need to be worried about THEIR airbags! LR
