96 f150 door problems

MY Dad had his 96 ford f150 sitting in his driveway for about 3 years now..we went adn jumped the truck and she almost started...we are having a problem with the truck doors...we can seem to get them open...would anyone know how we can get these doors to open...thanks in advance

is there resistance when you press the outer door handle?

sounds like the latch isn't releasing. I'll pull apart my door tomorrow and see what I can come up with

I haven't used my old truck much over the last five years. I found every spring the doors were almost stuck closed. The new door seals I installed seemed to glue themselves to the cab. I sprayed them with silicone spray and that helped. Maybe get a can of WD40, or whatever, with the plastics straw thingy attached and spray all inside door jam then let it soak in to see if it will help.

been trying everything for a the past few months..we got in through the back window....had to squeeze my nephew in there..i am going to try that silicone spray and will let ya know if them damn doors open
