1997 Ranger XLT

I managed to work out a deal with a mechanic friend on a trade. I had previously sold him a 1997 Expedition that he's fixing up to re-sell. For part of the purchase price on that, he did a bunch of work on my 2000 F-150. Now we've worked out a deal where I'm trading him my F-150 for his 1997 Ranger XLT.

This truck has 1195XX km's on it. Four wheel drive with manual hubs, automatic, freshly rebuilt 4.0L, new pads, rotors, shoes, wheel cylinders, brake lines front to back, and shocks. He's also replacing the seat as its broken. Power locks, windows, rear side windows pop out, rear slider, A/C, cruise, etc etc. Going to get the full set of aluminium rims that are on the front and full set of steel rims (with winter tires) on the back. He has too many vehicles on the go and figures he can sell my F-150 quicker than this Ranger, I guess...! Either way, win for me!

Don't know what kind of shape your F150 was in but this looks like a nice truck and should be almost trouble free for awhile. Good on ya!

Such is life. Just passing through.

So looks like I jumped the gun on this one. Went to talk to my 'friend' about this deal again and he informed me he sold it...seriously, WTF.

Friends like that, who needs enemies. Sorry to hear he didn't keep up his end of the deal.

Don't worry about it there are a ton of em' around if you want one, and your probably better off not dealing with a "friend" any how

We still haven't finished the deal on the Expedition I traded to him. He was originally going to give me $600 for it (body perfect but wasn't running and 4x4 didn't work) but he did a bunch of work on my F-150 to work off some of the debt. He had it for 2.5 months but he definitely didn't do $600 worth of work to my truck. I asked him about trading my F-150 to him to get the Expedition back and he said I'd have to trade the truck plus pay! He bought new heads for it ($1000) and turns out he might not need them at all. Kinda frustrating dealing with this guy sometimes but he's a family friend and he's usually treated us pretty good up until now.

So he bought parts he doesn't need? That is not your problem. What are the specs on your 150? Unless it is a 2wd work truck it should be worth more than that ranger anyways

VMP and 5-Star tuned no more

Buy a hybrid my truck needs your gas

So why not keep the F150 unless your just looking to down size cause of fuel prices. Myself I'd rather be driving a F150 over a ranger.
