Maintenance Schedule

I just bought a new 2008 Ranger. Reading the manual it tells me that my maintenance schedule should be 12,000 Kms or 6 months. The local Ford dealerships(3) have told me 8,000 Kms and 6 and the other 2 said 5000 kms and 6 months.

Anybody know what the real schedule is???

I would never let my oil go more than 5000 Kms especially with the tight tolerances of todays motors, keep it fresh keep it clean keep it a long time

BTW welcome to ford tough

This was brought from Ford to us so they could compete with imports
If the manual tell you Max 12000 km or every 6 months I would stay below it, and you will be fine

Little scary that Ford adjusts their maintenance schedule to "compete with the imports" and not because of some new mechanical advancement. Stick with the 5000km schedule!!!

You can never do to many oil changes
I do mine every 5000 km. Tire rotation every 10,000 km. Lincoln pays for it so why not
