What tire pressure for 245/75-16 tires?

Drivers side door label says 30 psi. My ex-Mazda B3000's door label was 35 psi.

Ran 32-33 psi in the past. I should do a chalk test, but it's winter so maybe next summer. Thoughts about running the tires at 35 psi in the winter or just leave it at 32-33 psi?

Just changed the tires to winter....Fountain Tire either didn't fill the tires up or just left it at 28 psi.

Thanks.

I've had tire shops tell me to by the sticker on the door. But I go by the number on the tire itself. I know most of the smaller trucks come with "P" rated tires tires and eventually get replaced with placed with "LT" tires that have a higher pressure rating, like 50 psi.

Let the debate begin...

my 245/75/16s are rated at 80psi, I run 70-75 on the rear and 65 in the front. this is a 7000lb 1 ton people van with a diesel engine.

if yours are rated for 35 psi run them at max in the winter time , they will have a smaller footprint and better traction.

Max tire pressure for the Generals is 44 psi. Probably play around 32-33 to 35 psi and see how the ride is.

if you are worried about the ride not traction , stick with your present 32-33psi. any more pressure will make your ride more harsh. after Christmas put them up to max and you'll love the traction improvement. (if you get the snow!)
