? for the guys running shackles

The time is almost here for the stock goodyears to go bubye, and I am thinking about some bigger tires. I've already done the t-bar crank and now I'm thinking about shackles. My question is for the 1.5-2inchs that I will gain, is that going to put my pinion angle out lunch, like needing shims so there is no driveline vibrations?? Also where can I get a set?? Lordco?? Thanks in advance

the height that you will gain from the shackles isnt enough to seriously alter any pinion angles or anything... so you should be ok. I have no vibration in mine. You could get them at Lordco...thats where i got mine, but only because i used to work there, so i paid $40 instead of 90... otherwise theyre too much of a hassle. I would recommend somewhere like Mopac in Langley or i think Jesse got his at Killer Customs in pitt meadows...

Just curious why you say that Lordco is a hassle?? I have a 55% discount there so thats probably my cheapest bet

because they are horrible with inventory management. I ordered some from there and they were suppsoed to be in 2 days later so i went there and they hadn't even shipped them yet.

Hmm. haven't had that prob with lordco in mission or maple ridge. The lordco in coquitlam tho.... same problem. I ordered and payed for a super 40 SI/DO and went back to pick it up and they didn't have any available. I got my money back. I'll try there first, then maybe mopac

I did 2" leafs and 2" shackles (settled in to around 3" all said and done really) with stock shocks and it had no effect on drivability, the only issue was that it did put a touch more strain on the worn out u-joints I had (15 yo OEM ones!!!) so they were replaced. Other than that, no worries.. LR

I'm not too worried about u-joints. The truck is off warranty soon anyway so it doesn't matter.

Anything like that you buy from Lordco, they buy it from Mopac first. But if you go to Lordco in Maple Ridge talk to Luke, Kev or Shelley... for some reason everything they order ends up coming in everytime.

They'll have the shackles in stock at Mopac in Langley, and indsead of paying 90 at Lordco you'll pay 40 at Mopac (cutting out the middle man). Bought mine there about a month ago
