LOUD vibration type noise

I have a 2008 ranger fx4... i find when im in a drive thru or stopped at lights from time to time i get this super loud Noise that sounds almost like a vibration or a High pitched bird. Its only when i have my foot on the brake and the truck is in drive, is the noise starts and i put it in park it stops right away. ITS very distinct through the back slider and is more or less coming from right under the cab not from the engine compartment...ANyone else ever had this noise or know what might be causing it? ot should i just take it to my dealer and ask them to diag it?

cheers!

brad

Sounds like tranny problems to me, but I'm no expert. Could also be u-joints.

I'd just take it to the dealer. I had a bad vibration in my tempo(ya I know a car) but it turned out that the crank pulley was toast. Something about the vibration damper. Same symptoms. It only really made the noise stopped in drive.

VMP and 5-Star tuned no more

Buy a hybrid my truck needs your gas
