Sliding Rear Window

Hi, I searched, but could not find any real discussion on this. I have a 2008 Ranger and am thinking of adding a sliding rear window. I know they assisted in many truck thefts over the years, but have heard the locking mechanism is much better now.

Does anyone on hear have one? Where is the best place to get them? Good and bad if you have one? Can you show me a picture of yours?

I have one in my 2009 Ranger, however it was a factory added one. It's handy, for what i'm not sure yet, haven't needed to climb through it cuz i locked my keys in my truck.

From what I always understood was most windshield shops can order and install them after market.

I only drive in the city, to get out of it!!!

I would check a wrecker/ salvage yard first... buying those windows new is pricey, trust me, I smashed one on my 07 and it cost 500 bucks for the window itself. But I got HEAVY METAL to give me a wicked deal on it. But go to a wrecker and bring a ratchet and i think its a 3/16 socket... or 5/16, I dont remember. 8 nuts, and just push it out. Easy to do.
