Tranny Solenoid confusion

So I'm still having issues with my '99 4.0 4X4 in the transmission area. I bought a shift solenoid, pulled the tranny pan and found that there are 4 solenoids. the 2 outter most are completely different and the 2 inner most are identical.

From front of the truck to the back I assume that they go in order of 1st gear, 2nd, 3rd, 4/5.

If someone can confirm this it would be greatly appreciated as the solenoid that I bought matches the two in the middle. The only other downside now is to truly figure out which one needs to be replaced.

I'm trying to load a pic I took but seem to be having some issues.

Nick

Thats the problem, the dealership I brought it to never told me. They wanted to charge over $700 to replace it. (that included removing and checking the valve body)

Everything is inconsistent.

It shutters in 1st gear when trying to accelerate, like its not properly in gear.

Sometimes I don't have 5th gear or 4th.

If I pull over, shut it down and start it again numerous times it will all go away and I will be able to make it home.

the shudder could be a tcc solonoid not releasing, did they pull any codes or do line press tests?

I have checked the codes on a buddies code reader and all that comes up is P1747. I don't know if they did a line press test

the p1747 is a epc(line press cont solonoid)open or shorted,it's the 4th solonoid on the side of v/b with 4 solonoids,it will cause low line press, limited eng power and 1-3 shifts missing, and lock up slippage.
