mazda engine swap..can it be done?

hey all, the 2.3 in my 95 ranger 2wd 4spd+OD is on its last legs. i was wondering, are there any mazda engines that would bolt in?

the mazda trucks are rebadged rangers,a 2.3 should drop in,a little more work to drop a v-6.

ya im willing to work for it; what would the options be? the reason i ask is because i know the 2.3 is in the mazda trucks, but isnt it the same engine the ford has been using for years?

ya its the same.....just with some plastic trim is diff

So, are there any mazda 4 cylender engines that will work? would a rotary engine work?

rotary would be a tough install - though certainly possible -- since mazda used to sell a rotary powered pickup anyway
