Exclamation 2000 Ford Ranger-Wheel Bearing...

Hey Guys,

I have to replace my front wheel bearing...believe it is the passenger side clunking trying to save some some shop costs and do it myself. Just looking for some advice and if it is easy enough for me to do myself.

2wd or 4x4? it make a big difference

all the same, jack up the front end and check what's loose and clunking before you go and order party. upper ball joints/control arms are super common to be pooched. tie rods can go too, and so can stab links.

2003 GMC Sierra 3500 -- dually, 4x4, hasn't blown up yet and that's what i look for in a truck

you would be better off checking the front end first, most wheel bearing failures won't produce a "clunk"(unless completly fubared)a common cause of front end clunks on a ranger is the sway bar end links loosening/or wearing through the lower control arm.

a moments silence for the shelbyx,i hope her new owner enjoys as much.
