Stock tire questions

Hey guys, I was wonder what other people think of the GoodYear Wrangle RTS tires that came on our trucks. I find that they don't have the greatest of traction and squeal very easily. Has anyone else noticed this aswell? or what are your thoughts on the tires.

Not the best of tires for traction, wet or dry.

JUNK. I hated them, no traction in any weather condition. IMO the best upgrade that can be done any ranger that has those tires is buy new tires

VMP and 5-Star tuned no more

Buy a hybrid my truck needs your gas

I changed mine the second day I got them. Buddy here who had a set on his Ranger got two flats the first camping trip out, 1300 km on them. That was merely driving down a logging road at 40 km/h. They're junk.

For cheap, city tires I'd say sure. If you need something you can trust, forget it. LR

Surprising considering the good 'press' on this forum for the Wrangler MT/R tires. Goodyear.ca rates the RT/S essentially as a middle of the road tire for grip and sound. Too bad Ford won't wake up and give a good tire customers actually want .... mind you it is a great way to get more $$$ outta people. Give them tires they are gonna replace so they spend more $ on new tires ....

Sign me up for the Wrangler RTS Are Crap Club. The only good thing I can say about them is they are quiet and give a smooth ride on dry, clean pavement. That's about all though. I got mine siped and am using them as lousy winter tires until they wear out. Then I"ll get something else. I hate them.

If Princess Auto were a real girl, I'd ask her to marry me.

The Wrangler SR-A's that replaced them are a much better highway tire. The RT/S wore like devil and didn't offer much traction for it.
