Sticky Brakes

Hey guys, I'm having some brake issues with my '06 Ranger Sport 2wd.

The passenger front brake seems to be staying on from time to time. I replaced the pads a little less than a year ago. Early this spring I noticed that there was smoke coming that tire and the brakes were really hot.

From time to time I can smell the pads roasting from the passenger front. There is a serious amount of brake dust covering my wheel too.

I noticed when I changed my pads that they are worn unevenly. The inner pad was worn much more that the outer pad was on both front wheels.

Any tips or advice to help with my situation?

It might be that you need to keep the slides for the pads clean and lubricated with the proper brake lube.My Super Duty needs this maintenance about every 6 months to keep the pads from hanging up.

So as it turns out, the lower pin on the passenger side of the caliper was seized. Had to "persuade" it to get moving again and gave all pins on both driver and passenger side some lube.
